"As an adult:
Loss of a loved one, physical disability, and medical illness can catapult an adult into chronic depression.
The individual has sudden lost of interest in hobbies,
The person isolates themselves from friends and activities,
He/she have unexplainable aches,
And would often feel hopeless and helpless.
Nearly 7 million adults over 65 years suffer from depression,
Only 10 percent receive treatment.
A depressed person needs support, you can be their companion.
Listen to their problems, but don't be judgmental.
Give them encouragement.
Reach out; Let them know that someone cares."
